Gold and Black Military Officer Costume Hat

The structure of the hat is pretty solid, but there's a warp in the plastic at the back of the head that needs to be popped out for it to fit. Also the seam on the fabric is slightly to the right of center, and the star is also sewn to the right of that seam (pictured). I'm covering it regardless just note the less than perfect quality if you aren't.

I have purchased this captains hat twice now to make festival pieces and both times they’ve turned out amazing!! The second hat did come a bit damaged on the brim but since it was being covered up anyways I didn’t mind hot gluing it back together, simple fix! Perfect base for your festival hat needs!!

My black and Gold event was complete with this hat!! I look forward to wearing it again. And not for Halloween but another event!!

This my To-Go hat for making Festival Captain hats. The size fits most and the shape, although not perfect, works well for decorating.

I suspect you guys are all looking to make a rave hat, unless there are a lot of sexy airline pilots out there. This is the one to use as your base. It is surprisingly sturdy and well made for being a costume piece. A+

I’ve been wanting to DIY a festival hat for the longest time. And this hat was perfect for that! I’m tempted to make another hat since this was so fun! It's one size fits all so it runs a little big, then again I have a very small head. Not that big of a deal, just need to add an insert so it will fit better.

We do a number of costume events and I was looking for a hat that would go with a military theme. This surpassed my expectations. Very well constructed and the embroidery is exceptional for the price! It fit well, but it would be nice if it had a way it could be adjusted.

Awesome hat! Was perfect for a Prince Harry Halloween costume. I was able to add a Red Ribbon for an accent. The plastic was somewhat bent in the rim, and wouldn’t go back to the original shape, so my BF had to keep adjusting, and he said it was slightly uncomfortable. But other than that, great costume hat for the price!

This hat is well-constructed. A little big on me - hopefully when I get my hair braided it will stick on my head. I’m worried about it blowing away in a dust storm.To make my project, I found removed the gold bands from top and middle. I painted the middle with silver paint. Used sparkly ribbon for bottom rim. Used fabri tac glue to glue ribbon and then jewels on. Black cording around top. Gold chain from craft store.Have fun!!

Hat was extremely cute but small, tight fit. Barely stayed on, I had to keep pushing it down. After a while it began to hurt.

Bought this as a base to decorate a hat for burning man, and it turned out beautiful. Strong quality, and really nice, suiting shape. Would recommend to anyone looking to purchase in its original form or to decorate!

Well made product that has the best value for your money! Well designed and sturdy, quality material with great workmanship and very comfortable to wear(not too heavy for head).

After a few tweaks, I was able to fix the off kilter sleeve and add it to my ensemble. If you can do this without tearing it at the seams it’ll serve you well.

I'm a male with a smaller head size, so this fit perfectly for me! The centering of the design was a bit off, but it did the job!

I have a pretty large head and this hat fits pretty snug. Smaller than I would like. It's good quality for the price and should be fun to turn into BM hats for friends, but I will likely need to purchase a different brand to accommodate my noggin.

I was in the lookout for something i could wear that looked cool. I wanted a military cap of some sort and this seemed legit. The only problem i really had was that i'm a guy and this is aimed for women not that there's anything wrong with it but the cap is covered with glitter. Not the biggest problem and i'm not unsatisfied, since i can remove the glitter. The hat looks cool and makes me feel like a bad ass

I have a big head and was worried wouldn't fit but is kind of bendy too so worked out. It's pretty tall in the front too which was a nice surprise since I had wanted a more dramatic look. However is black it does look a bit navy blue from afar...arrived super quick

The hat is well constructed and sturdy. It's a little bit on the larger side, but it works with the costume and makes for a powerful look. It did fit a bit weird because it is round and isn't form-fitting, so it did lose one star there. The piping has glitter on it, but it doesn't come off much and it looks pretty. Overall, I really liked it!
